The main story in the book 'Return of the Bird Tribes' is the Native American history of 'the Great Peacemaker' Deganawida. Inspired from youth with a vision of uniting 5 warring tribes together in peace he spent many years visiting the council fires and speaking on behalf of the Great Law of Peace that unites all of us as one family.
After attempts to kill him because the warriors saw him as a troublemaker who was weakening their resolve to fight, he eventually succeeded, and many hundreds of years later when the white men arrived the 5 tribes were still enjoying a truly democratic system of government.

Further down this page you will find information about a new movement called NonViolentCommunication that works with deprogramming our violent use of language so as to really communicate what we are feeling and wanting.

You will also find shocking information about how the military war machine in the U.S.A. has been using nuclear weapons in the middle east and other conflicts. This is not just immoral , illegal, and unnecessary, but actually - by the dictionary definition of the word - 'insane' as they are poisoning the biosphere for many thousands of years.

In the last century humans have reached a crisis point in evolution. You have taken from the Pandora's box of science the knowledge of how to destroy yourselves, and potentially your entire world. It is inevitable that any species that develops technology will eventually discover this ability, and there is no way that you can go back. Even were you to dismantle all your weapons and somehow eradicate the knowledge of how to build them - you would eventually discover them again.
The fault lies not in your science or even in your weapons, but in yourselves. If you do not solve this problem, if you do not change/awaken/evolve to a new way of being, then it is only a matter of time before you consummate your nightmare and destroy yourselves along with all that you have loved and cherished.

The apparent process of evolution by natural selection has finished for your species. There is no way that genetic adaptation could possibly keep up with the pace of technological change. Therefore a new process that could be called 'Conscious Evolution' has begun.
You have all been born into a world where the great majority of people are hypnotised and believe in stories that are not real. Stories that are told to them by authority figures who subconsciously fulfill the role of parents to

Conscious evolution requires more than simply a mental willingness. More even than a decision of the heart to seek its wholeness. It requires going beyond your cultural conditioning and even beyond your own definition of yourself as an individual.

It requires transcending the incredible illusion of separation to become a conscious part of the whole of existence.
This is what you truly want, and you know there is no other way.
This is a remarkable time, and astonishing things are possible on both the personal and planetary levels.

Whether we recognise it or not - to live in a world where the madness and terror of war rampaging out of control is a background of unresolvable pain in all of our lives. It is the ache of unawareness into which we have all been born. But even if war has been the norm for as long as you can remember - it does not mean that it will be that way forever. It is very possible to live in a world without war!

It is only through identification with the illusion of separation that conflict arises. Peace is the natural state of being. Truly, you are not separate from the whole of existence and its Source. Your body is intermingled at the molecular and atomic level with your environment. What to say of your thoughts, emotions and soul?
And yet, your separation is a 'real illusion' no doubt, and subject to all of illusions laws. Do not identify with it and bind yourself to its limitations. You are an infintesimal drop of the Ocean of Infinity, and within you is an infinite spark of the Conflagration of God.

Peace is your natural state, and yet for as long as you can remember your world has always been at war. War between tribes, war between individuals, war between the governments of nations: all of it caused by identification with the temporal self, the false sense of 'I', the ego of the body/mind. This is the nightmare that the masses of humanity have been trapped in for thousands of years. This is the sleep from which we must all now awaken or die.

We invite you to join us beneath the Great Tree of Peace
whose roots spread through the whole Earth
without regard for border lines on human maps.
Join with the great assembly of those souls who know
that we are all Children of the One Earth and the One Sky.
Use the tools available on this site to empower yourself
to be more effective as an emissary of Peace.
Speak the Truth gently to all who yet suffer from the great Fear
that it is not possible to live in harmony with all beings.
Offer them the vision of what yet may be
when we awaken to the One.

War must end. The time has come when weapons of mass destruction can no longer be acceptable to human societies. This must surely come as no surprise, and yet it is remarkable how often you forget its importance and focus on other things such as the need to recycle plastic bags!
