Centuries ago, a man appeared
on Onondaga Lake in a white stone boat. Arriving at the shore, he told hunters,
"Peace is the desire of the Holder of Heavens. The word I bring is that
all people shall love one another and live together in peace."
You and I live in a world where the madness
and terror of war has been rampaging out of control for thousands of years. This is a background of unresolvable
pain in all human lives. It is in fact the defining characteristic of the incredibly ignorant time into which we
have incarnated. But... even if war has been here for as long as
we can remember - it does not mean that it will be that way forever. This is a remarkable time, and astonishing things are possible on both
the personal and planetary levels.
If war and oppression were to end and the
resources that they consume were turned towards creating sustainable
society - almost nothing would be beyond human attainment. What a shame it would be, to be so close to the possibility of love and then to destroy ourselves instead. It may seem an impossible task to awaken from the nightmare of history, and yet we have no choice... it is the next step in our evolution as a species. We must overcome our heritage of violence. Otherwise, we will use our incredible intelligence to destroy ourselves.
The main story in the book 'Return of the Bird
Tribes' is the Native American history of 'the Great Peacemaker'
Deganawida. Inspired from youth with a vision of uniting 5 warring tribes
together in peace. He spent many years visiting the council fires and
speaking on behalf of the Great Law of Peace that unites all of us as
The warriors saw him as a troublemaker
who was weakening their resolve to fight. After attempts to kill him failed dramatically, he eventually succeeded in inspiring them with the Truth of Peace.
Many hundreds of years later when the white men arrived the 5 tribes
were still enjoying a highly successful and truly equitable system of government.
In the last century humans have reached a crisis point in evolution.
We have taken from the Pandora's box of science the knowledge of how
to destroy ourselves, and potentially our entire world. It is inevitable
that any species that develops technology will eventually discover this ability, and there is
no way that we can go back. Even were we to dismantle all your weapons
and somehow eradicate the knowledge of how to build them - we would
eventually discover them again.
The fault lies not in our science or even in our weapons, but in ourselves.
If we do not solve this problem, if we do not change/awaken/evolve
to a new way of being, then it is only a matter of time before we consummate
our nightmare and destroy ourselves along with all that we have loved
The apparent process of evolution by natural selection has finished
for our species. There is no way that genetic adaptation could possibly
keep up with the pace of technological change. Therefore a new process
that could be called 'Conscious Evolution' must begin.
We have all been born into a world where the great majority of people are hypnotised and believe in stories that are not real. Stories that are told to them by authority figures who subconsciously fulfill the role of parents.
Peace is a natural state, and yet for as long as we can remember
our world has always been at war. War between tribes, war between individuals, war between the governments
of nations: all of it caused by identification with the temporal self,
the false sense of 'I', the ego of the body/mind. This is the nightmare
that the masses of humanity have been trapped in for thousands of years.
This is the sleep from which we must all now awaken or die.
BirdTribes invites you to join us beneath the Great Tree of Peace
whose roots spread through the whole Earth
without regard for border lines on human maps.
Join with the great assembly of those souls who know
that we are all Children of the One Earth and the One Sky.

Speak the Truth gently to all who yet suffer from the great Fear
that it is not possible to live in harmony with all beings.
Offer them the vision of what yet may be
when we awaken to the One.
Soldiers in the field of battle, hear these words within your hearts
whispered by the Truth within you, for in you flows the blood of stars
Know the dream of war is over, and a new day soon shall dawn,
and no-one knows what yet shall be
when we awaken to the One.
This is the miracle of life burning so bright within our eyes
that everything becomes a star in the great Universe.
This is the miracle of Love burning so bright within our hearts
that every one becomes a sun, and Peace returns to Earth.
Oh bright is the vision, brightly woven from the light
with words rightly spoken, bring the seeds of new life.
Bring the seeds of the One Tree, and plant them deep within the minds
of all these sweet Dreamers and Weavers of Light.
must end. The time has come when weapons of mass destruction can
no longer be acceptable to human societies. This must surely come
as no surprise, and yet it is remarkable how often you forget
its importance and focus on other things such as the need to recycle plastic bags! There can be no planetary awakening without the end of war
being accomplished. All other problems will be almost trivial if this one is solved. To end war requires, and yet paradoxically also allows, the whole healing of the human heart.
We invite you to
become a member of the BirdTribes and to take a stand for Peace. We do this through many different avenues. We use Sacred Geometrical
Art, websites, and other multimedia tools to infiltrate the mainstream warrior mentality with the vision
of living in harmony. We honour the Great
Law of Peace and the Peoples who preserved it through the centuries
as an example to the world.
We acknowledge that fear and greed and ignorance still terrorise
this world and we do whatever we can to help our Sisters and Brothers
by bringing about a new consciousness that transcends conflict at

~ James Twyman - Peace Troubadour ~
"I believe that each and every human being on Earth has both the responsibility and the privilege of viewing themselves as Divine beings with the power to bring about peace."
The following is an excerpt from 'The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking' by the master Jesus speaking through James Twyman
Are you ready? What other question need I ask of you? And what
answer will you give, now that it has been asked? Will you step
forward, or back? There is no other choice. You have tried to
hold still, but the days of waiting are now behind you. Are you
ready to accept your mission, the one that was given to you before
you were born? Are you ready to bring peace to all beings by BEING
peace? Say YES! Say it loud enough that you may hear it. No one
else need know. Only you. Only your soul.
You have been called to be a bearer of peace in this world of
dreams. There is a reason for this. You want to wake up from this
world, and it is the only way. Do you understand this? The only
way for you to awaken is to awaken others. And yet, no one needs
to wake up but you. Think about this for a moment. No one needs
to awaken but you. Why, then, do I say that you must give this
to receive it? It is so simple. Because you are only giving to
yourself. There is no one there but you to give or receive.
Are you ready to see this, to know it, and to love it? If so,
then you are ready to heal the whole world by being a Spiritual
The chain reaction of evil - wars producing more wars -
must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.
Martin Luther King Jr
"Under the shade of this Tree of Peace
... there shall you sit and watch the Fire of the League of Five
Nations. Roots have spread out from the Tree of Great Peace ...
These are the Great White Roots, and their nature is Peace and
Strength. If any man or any nation shall
obey the Laws of Peace ... they may trace back the roots of the
Tree ... They shall be welcomed to take shelter beneath the Great
Evergreen Tree. "

"So then, what is the message I bring to you today? Is it
our common future? It seems to me that we are living in a time
of prophecy, a time of definitions and decisions. We are the generation
with the responsibilities and the option to choose the The Path
of Life for the future of our children. Or the life and path which
defies the Laws of Regeneration.
Even though you and I are in different boats, you in your boat
and we in our canoe, we share the same River of Life. What befalls
me, befalls you. And downstream, downstream in this River of Life,
our children will pay for our selfishness, for our greed, and
for our lack of vision. "

only PEACE of this kind is worthy of the name."

Violent Communication - NVC ~
NVC is a much needed insight into human behavior
and teaches techniques for developing effective and compassionate
Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., founder and director of education services
for the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC), is a traveling
peacemaker. He visits about thirty-five countries every year to
meet with people in places riddled with conflict, violence and suffering.
It’s his job to promote reconciliation and peaceful resolution
to situations that most people see as hopeless or impossible. Israel,
Palestine, Ireland, Russia, Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, Serbia, and
Croatia are some of the international hotspots he visits to help
angry, bitter and hostile people learn how to identify their unmet
needs and find connection to themselves and to each other.
A 10min meditation on nuclear madness - using footage from1951. Though the film may seem naive, it is an unfortunate reality that there are now approximately 20,000 nuclear weapons on the planet, and also 2,000 nuclear reactors. It has become unfashionable to consider what you would do if you were anywhere near a nuclear explosion. Since the end of the Cold War we have almost forgotten that it is an ever present possibility. Let us pray that we will find a harmonious pathway to transition to a compasionate and sustainable global society.

If you do not realise that there have been at least two nuclear wars since the 1950s then you have missed a rather important fact of modern history. If you search the web and watch the videos of the effect this has had on birth defects in the Middle East prepare to be shocked.
